A work in progress
Healing takes a long time, excuse my language, but it is f@#$ing hard work. It is so much harder to stay present with our emotions and to look at the unhealed wounds that are still within us when someone bumps up against them than to lash out or numb them.

Be your own hero
There was a time when I searched into the eyes of everyone I met to see if they could save me from my pain until I finally figured out that, even those who tried to be the hero I was searching for, no one could heal my pain but myself. I realized that I had to become my own hero!

The power of Self-Knowledge
Through self-study, I have come to know and accept myself and grow by first becoming conscious of and then breaking free of my old patterns. This of course is still a work in progress, but it continues to become easier. Another benefit of getting to know myself better is that my understanding of others has also shifted.
